Cute and easy flower basket for the children to make for someone special on mother's day.
You will need:
paper for the basket, a variety of tissue paper for the flowers and Chenille stems.
Draw a 7 inch circle and at two opposite ends make tabs that are 2.5 inches out from the circle and 1.5 inches wide. Tape the two tabs together to make the basket handle.
Cut from the tissue paper rectangle pieces that are 3 inches by 1 inch. You will need 6 for each flower. Cut the ends to be rounded. Put 6 of the petals together and twist a chenille stem around the center of them. Pull each tissue petal out a little to fluff the flower. Stick the chenille stem into the handle of the basket. You may want to stick them into the bottom also to make them more sturdy.
